Make Halloween extra fun and easy this year (as well a little bit healthier) by making these spooky boonana ice lollies! Simply freeze whole bananas, pop in a wooden ice lolly stick and then decorate with chocolate buttons and melted chocolate to make them scary and ghost like!

Easy to make plant-based and dairy free. Suitable from 18 months. The plain frozen bananas are great for teething babies from 6 months.

Instructions
  1. Peel the bananas and cut one end with a small knife in a zig zag pattern. Push a wooden ice lolly stick in by about two thirds Freeze the bananas on a tray for at least 3 hours
  2. Just before taking the bananas out of the freezer, melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a bain-marie or pyrex bowl in a saucepan of hot water. Place the chocolate sauce in a small icing bag with a thin nozzle.
  3. Take the bananas out of the freezer and stick two chocolate buttons to make the spooky eyes using edible glue or rice syrup.
  4. Then zig zag over the melted chocolate – this will set almost immediately.
  5. Either devour straight way or store in a plastic bag in the freezer until Halloween!

My favourite mini decorating nozzle is Lekume which has been a total game changer for me!
