These sesame seaweed sprinkles are a store cupboard essential in our house and my kids love to scatter them on rice noodles or teriyaki salmon. Furikake sesame sprinkles  are a great way of supercharging your dinner or snack with calcium-rich sesame seeds as well as seaweed packed with iron, magnesium and iodine. A simple way to gently increase your metabolism.

Crunchy and mildly salty, they are delicious sprinkled on chicken, salmon, eggs, rice noodles, sushi rolls, salads or cucumber slices. Can also be added with teriyaki, tamari or coconut aminos. And toasted sesame oil can round off the dish.

They look fabulous too, as they jazz up your presentation.

You will need to source the ingredients from your local health food shop or Asian store, and they should remain fresh for several months in your store cupboard, if you keep them in a glass jar.

By the way, you pronounce it “furrycakkee”.
