My family are totally hooked on Baobab at the moment – it is so delicious with a yummy citrus zing. It is very easy to add to food and drinks. We first came across it on a visit to the Eden Project in Cornwall and discovered how wonderfully nutritious it is.
Baobab is an African super food made from the fruit of the mighty Baobab tree that are ”as big as castles” as described by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, in the book The Little Prince.
Baobab is a great source of vitamin C and iron, and therefore an important blood builder and immune booster. If you have a little one that is pale, tired and constantly snuffly this is the one for them!
Baobab is also a great food to fuel your brain. To work at their optimum, your brain cells need a good supply of oxygen. Low iron levels can reduce your blood’s ability to carry oxygen, reducing the amount delivered to your brain. Not getting enough iron can therefore mean problems such as poor concentration and focus.
This Baobab tropical sorbet is incredibly easy to make and comes out lovely and creamy. A definite all-round winner and is packed with delicious tropical fruits and the baobab super charges it.
