UPDATE: Get the latest on The Good Stuff HERE.

You may have noticed I have been a little quiet on my blog recently. This has all been because I was busy writing my first book The Good Stuff, which is due out on 13 September. I have loved every moment of this journey and I can’t wait for you to read and enjoy it. Have a look at some of it here. Or pre-order it on Amazon.

The Good Stuff shares over 100 family recipes and ideas for healthy and nourishing food that are yummy and easy to prepare. In my experience as a mum of three and a naturopath, finding healthy food that children will actually eat can be a huge challenge. Making it easy is even harder!

From Five Veg Shepherd’s Pie to Brain-Boost Pancakes, there are recipes to suit all ages from toddlers all the way through to teenagers (and in fact the entire family!). I include lots of simple lunchbox and snack ideas, plus menu planners and clever swaps for the main food allergens so you can easily make the recipes gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and egg-free.

The book is focused on helping you and your kids develop a positive relationship with food and to help make family meal times a joy. It is packed with health tips and simple steps you can make to help your family become the best versions of themselves. It is fully referenced with some of the most up to date nutrition research in child health, and it teaches you why it is so important to feed your kids The Good Stuff most of the time.

In it, I delve into how food choices affect both mental and physical health and share with you how underlying chronic inflammation can be the root cause of a range of health conditions like depression, anxiety, type 2 diabetes, asthma, eczema and autoimmune conditions. Luckily, simple steps like cooking from scratch, eating wholegrains and lots of fruit and veg as well as a varied diet can make a real difference to short and long-term health outcomes.

Also, I share helpful snippets on how to sneak fruit and veg into the diets of kids who usually turn their noses up at it, how to give your kids carbs without the sugar rush, the latest scoop on healthy protein and fats, the importance of gut health as well as immune boosting strategies and much more.

The book is totally gorgeous, from the photos to the layout. I am still pinching myself to have found such a great publisher and team, who are usually found designing and photographing for Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein and Mary Berry. The photographers have certainly made my recipes look mouth-watering and my kids even more awesome. Although, in the interests of transparency, not all of them are mine!

With The Good Stuff, you can start to wean your children off ready-made convenience foods and all of you can look forward to healthy family meals.

If you pre-order on Amazon, this will ensure it lands on your doorstep as soon as it is published. And if they reduce the price even further between now and then, they’ll charge you the lower price.
